Why did I become natural?
Why I became natural...

Let me tell you, there were so many reasons to why I made the tough decision to become a natural, but I will only name a few main reasons, just for your sake : ). One main reason was because I went off to college...of course. I did not want to spend a lot of my time and little money going to get my hair done anymore...especially not at a new place that I have not been to before(salon hunting was not going to happen). As you may know, it costs a lot of money to stay in college, so to add even more on my list of expenses...not worth it. Next, the relaxers. Relaxers began to really irritate me more than ever. It always burned, itched, and was simply annoying having to constantly get relaxers, straighten my hair, worry about going swimming, and things of that nature. There became less benefits and more downfalls.Lastly, the overall health of my hair dawned on me. A fresh start was much wanted and needed. I figured if I went natural, the entire state of my hair will be much healthier. I assumed it would be much easier to maintain as well as style. I would not say that I was completely right about the easy maintenance part, but I do not regret the decision whatsoever.
