Hey Everyone!
So I experimented with my hair last weekend and decided to try something a little different. This just happened to be one of my favorite styles and I received numerous comments on the style. Let me tell you how I accomplished it.
First, I washed and put a protein treatment in my hair (Usually I condition, but it was really late so I decided to skip that step this go). Next, I put in some of the best leave-in conditioner, Eden Body works and my mixed oils on my scalp. After that, I began to style. Most of the time I don't come up with a style ahead of time, so I just went with the flow with this one.
To create this style, start off by parting a horizontal line across the top of the head from ear to ear. Because I like to work from the back to the front, I pinned the front out of the way and two-strand twisted the whole back of the head. The products I used was the Jane Cater Defining Creme and Entwine Couture Butter Cream Hydrator with a little ECO Styling Gel. My twists were medium sized, but feel free to do whatever size you'd like. After finishing the twists in the back, I split the front into three sections leaving the middle out of the way. On both sides, I put 5 flat twists going backwards and rolled and pinned the ends in the middle near the crown. Finally, I put 3 flat twists going towards my face and rolled it into a Pompadour. To seal in moisture, I misted the hair with water and rubbed in a little oil and tied on a satin scarf and a bonnet and headed to bed.
The next morning, I added mixed oil because I did not have my usual, Argon oil, to help reduce frizz and add shine and unraveled the two-strand twists in the back. I was so defined and moisturized. I loved it!
To keep the style, simply re-twist if desired because the twist could last more than one day and tie down at night.
Have any questions? Don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks!
