Tips for the Transitioner

Hello to all you Transitioners and possible transitioners,

First you should know a little about what it means to "Transition."

When you are transitioning, it means that you are going from a relaxed state to a natural state. It is the point from where you stop getting relaxers and plan to go fully natural without actually cutting all of the relaxed hair off.

Why do people transition?
People actually transition to have their natural hair at a desired state - most likely at a certain length before they fully obtain natural hair. This period is also good practice for actually having natural hair and to see if going natural is what you want to do.

What are some good styles to do while transitioning?
Because the point between the relaxed and natural hair is so fragile and may cause breakage, low manipulation styles are the best for transitioners. Styles that require little to no heat such as roller sets or twist and braid outs are the best bets.

Thank you!
